We believe that for food to deliver world-class flavor, it should begin with simple, fresh ingredients that are minimally processed and free of artificial color and preservatives. We believe consumers have a right to know what’s in their food, so they’ll be able to make informed choices without being misled by crafty marketing. At Pei Wei, we take pride in preparing our fresh whole food in-house and make our dishes to order. And with The Wei Forward, we make it easy for you to eat the food you love, with less of the stuff you don’t.

Fresh, whole food is as simple as it sounds. You’ll see fresh, quality cuts of meats and over 23 types of fresh vegetables being hand sliced by our team members throughout the day. We believe that the best meals start with fresh meat and vegetables, and that you can taste the difference. Enough said.

CLEAN & TRANSPARENT

We want to lead positive change in the restaurant industry. That’s why we’re opening up and letting you in. We believe it’s your right to know what’s in your food. We won’t make misleading claims to cover up when we have to make improvements. Our vision is clear, and we’re committed to following through. Today, 30% of our rice bowls are entirely free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, and that number will be up to 53% by the end of 2018. And, there’s no way that we’re stopping there.

MADE FOR YOUR

Our trained chefs cook our fresh, whole ingredients to order, and that’s why we can spend the time and take care to accommodate your preferences, whether it be flavor related or a dietary need. Want some heat? We can turn it up. All veg? We’ve got it. Gluten sensitive? Yup. One of our commitments is to have continued expansion, and with that comes accommodation of your dietary needs and preferences.

Today, four of our rice bowls can be ordered completely vegetarian, and all of our entrées can be ordered with tofu or vegetables. We offer seven gluten-friendly dishes, and we’re adding four more by the end of 2018.

OCT 2018

Removed artificial flavors, ingredients and preservatives from 30% of our rice bowls. Moved to sriracha sauce that is free of artificial ingredients. We have seven gluten-free and five vegetarian options. All of our rice bowls can be ordered with tofu or vegetables.

DEC 2018

Removing artificial flavors, ingredients and preservatives in 53% of our rice bowls, bringing our gluten-friendly rice bowls to 46% of our menu by adding four more.

Q3 2019

Moving to noodles that are free of artificial ingredients and preservatives.

FDA PETITION AND CHANGE.ORG–GET BEHIND THE CAUSE

Under current FDA regulations, restaurants don’t have to tell you if your meal has preservatives, artificial coloring or any other unappetizing ingredients. At Pei Wei, we just don’t think that’s right. We’re helping consumers make informed decisions about where they eat by launching a petition for restaurant transparency.
