There’s no better way to celebrate National Dumpling Day than with delicious, flavorful dumplings! In a recent Fox 10 AZ AM Weekend segment, Pei Wei joined the show to share a behind-the-scenes look at how to make dumplings and how we sauce them up at our restaurants.
How to Make Dumplings at Home
Our simple chicken dumpling filling starts with ground chicken, green onions, ginger, white pepper, black pepper, sugar and soy sauce. Once the filling is ready, place about a teaspoon onto a dumpling wrapper, add a little water around the edges, and fold and pleat the wrapper to seal it.
After steaming, you can enjoy your dumplings as-is or take them to the next level with a flavorful sauce.
Sauce It Up with Pei Wei
For the TV segment, we prepared our Sweet Soy Dumplings by warming garlic in a little oil before adding sweet soy sauce and dumplings. The result? Tender, savory dumplings coated in a delicious sweet and savory sauce.
And if you like a little heat, Pei Wei also offers Firecracker Dumplings for a spicy twist.
Of course, dumplings are just the beginning. During the segment, we also highlighted some of Pei Wei’s other favorites, including Lettuce Wraps, Honey Mango Chili Chicken, Thai Coconut Curry Chicken, Mongolian Steak, Firecracker Shrimp and Wagyu Spring Rolls.
Whether you’re celebrating National Dumpling Day or simply looking for your next favorite Asian-inspired dish, there’s always something delicious to discover at Pei Wei.
